A highly coordinated security operation has been carried out by Jubbaland’s Darawish forces based in Dhoobley, targeting the Yara‑Lafgare area located approximately 80 kilometers northeast of the town.
The mission, planned and executed with significant precision, was aimed at members of the extremist Al-Shabaab group who had been carrying out acts of intimidation, robbery, and other criminal activities that threatened the safety of residents in the area.
During the course of the operation, security forces successfully neutralized several militants involved in activities undermining peace and stability in the community. Troops also seized various equipment and materials the militants had been using to facilitate their operations.
Commanders leading the mission stated that the objective was to strengthen security, protect civilians, and eliminate the presence of the Al-Shabaab Khawaarij elements posing a danger to local communities.
They emphasized that similar security operations will continue across Jubbaland until full stability is achieved and extremist groups are completely eradicated from the region.
