Elite forces from the Danab Special Commandos and the Jubaland Intelligence and Security Agency’s Gaashaan Unit carried out a coordinated night raid in Jilib District and the Hargaysa Yarey area of Middle Juba.
According to commanders who led the mission, the operation, conducted by both ground and air units—targeted key locations where militants and their field leaders were stationed. Officials confirmed that the strike inflicted significant losses on the extremist group.
Security authorities further reported that 17 militants were killed, while several others were captured alive during the operation.
The raid is part of ongoing, intensified efforts to strengthen security across the region and dismantle extremist networks still operating in pockets of Middle Jubba region.
