An official ceremony marking the completion of the Kismayo District Water Supply Project was held today in the Yoontoy area, situated north of Kismayo city.
This vital project was a collaborative effort between the Jubbaland Ministry of Energy and Water Resources and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), with financing provided by the African Development Bank (AfDB).
The successful completion of the construction phase was achieved by the contracting firm, Astur Conlog Ltd.
The inauguration event was attended by the Minister of Energy and Water Resources for the Jubbaland State, Mr. Ahmed Hussein Baraki, along with officials representing both the Jubbaland and Federal Governments. The new infrastructure is set to significantly enhance water access and services for the residents of Kismayo.
