The President of Jubbaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, has officially opened the newly constructed central police station in Kismayo district, marking a significant milestone in the region’s security infrastructure.
The state-of-the-art facility replaces the century-old police station that had long served the district. Designed with modern standards in mind, the new station is expected to enhance the operational capacity of the Jubbaland Police Force and improve public safety services in the region.
The brief but momentous opening ceremony was attended by key government and security officials, including the State Minister for Security, Aden Haji, the Commander of the Jubbaland Darawish Forces, General Ismail Sahardid and the regional police commander of Lower Jubba region, Senior Lieutenant Sadiq Mahmoud Dhogor.
Following the ribbon-cutting, President Ahmed Islam toured the various departments within the new station, expressing confidence in its role in strengthening law enforcement and community trust.
