In a decisive and well-coordinated military operation, the Jubbaland Darawiish Forces, specifically the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Unit, launched a successful offensive today targeting terrorist hideouts in the strategic areas of Libaaxley and Barjalaa, located in the Lower Juba region.
The operation, led by Lieutenant Colonel Cali Xasan Aadan (Cali Yare), focused on dismantling Khawaarij militant cells that had been using the dense bushlands of these regions as cover for their activities. According to military sources, the offensive resulted in the complete clearance of both areas, with several enemy positions destroyed and their operational bases dismantled.
Barjalaa and Libaaxley, known for their strategic significance and difficult terrain, had long served as covert hubs for extremist elements. Today’s operation marks a significant blow to their presence in the region.
Lieutenant Colonel Cali Yare emphasized the continued commitment of the Jubbaland forces to eradicating terrorism and restoring lasting peace. He also praised the vital role played by local residents, whose cooperation and intelligence were instrumental in the success of the mission.
This operation is part of a broader campaign by the Jubbaland Darawiish Forces to intensify pressure on anti-peace elements and ensure the safety and stability of communities across the region.
