The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has today paid a working visit to the Ministry of Defense headquarters in Mogadishu, Somalia.
The President first paid a courtesy call to members of the Somali National Army and inspected the offices of the various headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, and listening to reports from the leadership of the Armed Forces.
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and Commander-in-Chief had a brief with some Somali officers and troops on the ground in the fight against Al-Shabaab terrorists, praising them for their day and night sacrifices.
The President also shared with the Armed Forces the Government’s commitment to ensuring the security of the country.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s visit today is the first visit to the Ministry of Defense following his re-election.
