The Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism of Jubbaland today convened a high-level consultative forum aimed at shaping the region’s tourism policy and setting a strategic direction for its development.
The event, officially opened by the Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Abdifatah Mohamed Mukhtar, brought together key stakeholders including members of the Jubbaland Council of Ministers, civil society organizations, business leaders, hotel owners, airline representatives, and other tourism sector players.
The proposed Tourism Policy is poised to become a cornerstone of Jubbaland’s development agenda. It seeks to guide the growth of tourism sites, encourage investment, promote environmental conservation, preserve cultural heritage, and create new employment opportunities for the region’s youth.
