Jubbaland Military Court Sentences Four in Robbery and Assault Case

The Military Court of the Armed Forces in Jubbaland has handed down verdicts against four defendants accused of robbery, mobile phone theft, and causing injuries to civilians.

After carefully reviewing the charges presented by the prosecution and examining the findings of the case investigator, the court sentenced three of the accused namely Fuad Adan Daud, Muhidin Abdullaahi Ali, and Abdiqani Mohamud Bile to three years in prison each.

In addition to the prison term, Muhidin Abdullaahi Ali was ordered to pay compensation for injuries he inflicted on Mohamed Abdinaasir Abdullaahi, reflecting the court’s commitment to ensuring justice for victims.

Meanwhile, Fadumo Abdullaahi Ali, a member of the Jubbaland Police Force, was found guilty of harboring the criminal suspects. The court imposed a fine of $500, and she will be released upon payment of the penalty.

The rulings underscore the Jubbaland judiciary’s efforts to crack down on criminal activities and uphold accountability, including within state security institutions.
