The Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the Jubaland State Government, Aydid Suleiman Hashi, today welcomed Ms. Rabeka, Head of the CFSP Project at GIZ, along with her delegation, during an official meeting held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Kismayo.
The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration and coordination between the Ministry and GIZ, particularly in the areas of environmental protection and climate resilience.
Minister Aydid Hashi emphasized the importance of deepening the partnership to achieve sustainable and impactful outcomes. He was accompanied by the Ministry’s Director General and several departmental heads, who provided brief updates on the progress and challenges facing current environmental initiatives.
In his remarks, the Minister commended GIZ for its visible contributions to environmental development in Jubbaland and encouraged the organization to intensify its support, especially in areas related to climate change mitigation and environmental conservation.
Ms. Rabeka, in turn, shared insights from her recent field visits to various Ministry facilities, noting that project activities under the CFSP initiative are progressing well. She reaffirmed GIZ’s commitment to continued technical and financial support, aimed at helping the Ministry achieve its environmental goals.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to strengthen cooperation, accelerate the implementation of the CFSP project, and scale up joint efforts to safeguard Jubaland’s environment for future generations.
