Jubbaland Second Vice President Meets Dolow district commissioner to Strengthen Peace and Security Efforts

The Second Vice President of the Jubbaland State Government, Mohamud Sayid Adan, held a high-level meeting today with the district commissioner of Dolow, Mohamed Hussein Abdi, to discuss the overall security situation in Dolow and its surrounding areas.

The meeting focused on enhancing peacebuilding efforts, strengthening coordination between security agencies and local administration, and ensuring stability and development across the district.

A key topic of discussion was the upcoming peace initiative proposed by the President of Jubaland, aimed at reconciling clan communities involved in recent conflicts in Luuq district, Gedo region. The peace conference is scheduled to take place on October 20.

The First Vice President Sayid Adan underscored the importance of supporting dialogue and reconciliation, urging community members and traditional elders to actively participate in efforts to promote peace and unity among the people.

He also commended the Dolow district administration for its commitment to maintaining security and its active role in supporting the peace process in Gedo region.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen collaboration, accelerate peacebuilding initiatives, and uphold the values of unity and stability in Jubbaland regional state of Somalia.
