The forum, focused on increasing female representation in positions such as Director General, Departmental Director, and Section Head, brings together key stakeholders from across Somalia’s federal member states.

The Ministries of Labour and Social Affairs from South West, Hirshabelle, and Galmudug, in collaboration with the Civil Service Commissions of the respective states, jointly inaugurated the event. The central theme of the gathering is empowering women and enhancing their participation in public sector leadership.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Jubaland’s Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Hon. Ibrahim Mohamed Qooshow, reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to implementing policies that ensure women are visibly represented in government offices and decision-making roles.
