The Minister of Health of Jubaland state, Ismaaciil Axmed Garas, warmly received a high-level delegation from UNICEF at the Ministry’s headquarters in Kismayo today. The delegation, led by Ms. Mandy, Head of UNICEF’s Health Awareness Division, arrived on a working visit aimed at enhancing cooperation in public health initiatives across the region.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Health, along with senior officials and staff members. Discussions focused on strengthening the partnership between the Jubaland Ministry of Health and UNICEF, particularly in the area of health awareness and education.
During the meeting, the Ministry showcased its achievements in health awareness campaigns and highlighted the pressing needs in various Jubaland communities. Both parties explored joint strategies to address these challenges and reaffirmed their commitment to improving public health outcomes through collaborative efforts.
