Senior directors from various ministries of the Jubbaland State Government, accompanied by local officials from Doolow District, conducted an official visit today to Buulo Qalooc, a locality under Doolow’s administration to evaluate the progress and impact of the SomRep development project.
The delegation toured several project sites where the SomRep initiative has been implemented, assessing both the effectiveness and the tangible benefits the project has brought to the local community. During the visit, the officials held consultative meetings with community members who have directly benefited from the development programs spearheaded by the Jubbaland government.
Mursal Mohamed Khalif, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation has emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between the government and local communities to ensure the sustainability and expansion of development efforts in the region.
“This project is a testament to what can be achieved when communities and government work hand in hand,” said Khalif. “Our goal is to build on this momentum and further enhance the livelihoods of our people.”
The SomRep project, part of a broader regional development strategy, aims to strengthen resilience and improve living standards in vulnerable areas across Jubbaland State.
