The Jubaland Darawish forces along with the SNA DANAB commandos carried out a planned security operation in the villages of Harari Balle, and Dhalajo, under the Awoodin area of the Lower Jubba region, inflicting heavy casualties on the Al-Shabaab militia.
The operation targeted senior leaders of the group who were holding a meeting not far from Harari Balle.
The security forces received reliable intelligence that led to an immediate attack on the meeting place.
During the operation, a largest number of the terror group’s leaders were killed in the location making it the the only incident where large number the terror network’s leaders ever killed in a single location in the Lower Jubba region of Somalia.
The key leaders in the meeting included the General Commander of the Lower Juba Region, Hassan Muudey, Commander Maalin Ibrahim, Commander Ali Dudiye, and Commander Mohamed Yare.
This operation is one of the most successful in the Lower Jubba region and demonstrates the capability and vigilance of the Jubbaland and DANAB forces in the fight against terror.
