
The Minister of Health of the Jubaland State, Ismail Ahmed Garas, today conducted an inspection visit to the newly constructed extension of Kismayo General Hospital, a project that is now nearing completion.
The Minister was accompanied by key health officials, including the Director of Administration and Finance at the Ministry, Mohamed Abdikadir, the Lower Juba Regional Health Coordinator, Abdirizak Jaamus, and the Kismayo District Health Coordinator, Mohamed Sheikh.
During the visit, the Minister closely assessed the progress of the construction works and expressed satisfaction with the significant advancements made so far. He commended the pace and quality of the project, highlighting its importance in strengthening healthcare delivery across the region.
Minister Garas noted that once completed, the expanded facility is expected to play a vital role in improving access to quality medical services for the local community and reducing pressure on existing hospital infrastructure.
The project forms part of ongoing efforts by the Jubaland administration to enhance public health services and ensure better healthcare outcomes for its citizens.
