A high-level security meeting was held in the Buula-Guduud area, west of Kismayo, bringing together senior commanders from various branches of the Jubbaland State Forces. The strategic gathering focused on accelerating operations against the extremist group Al-Shabaab (Khawarij), strengthening regional security, and safeguarding civilians.
The meeting was chaired by
Commander of the Jubbaland Darawiish Forces, General Ismail Sahardiid. Discussions centered on enhancing coordination among security units, reviewing recent counter-terrorism successes, and addressing ongoing challenges in the fight against insurgents.
Commanders presented detailed reports on the current security landscape, highlighting key victories and persistent threats. A consensus was reached to unify future security strategies to ensure lasting peace and development across Jubbaland.
Chief of the Jubbaland Military Court, Colonel Abdullahi Mohamud Ibrahim, delivered an inspiring address, commending the bravery of the forces and urging them to double their efforts in protecting the public and maintaining law and order.
General Sahardid encouraged troops to remain vigilant and committed. He emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between the military and local communities to achieve sustainable peace and stability.
