The President of the Jubbaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, has today visited the Danwadagta neighborhood of Dhobley district where IDPs live.
The President’s visit is aimed at monitoring the living conditions of the IDPs in the neighborhood and inform the relevant agencies on the situation of the IDPs and subsequently respond to their needs.
Residents of the Danwadagta neighborhood include returnees from the Kenya’s Dadaab refugee complex and other internally displaced people as well as those affected by the ravages of drought in the Jubbaland state.
The latest Internally Displaced Persons to have arrived at the Danwadagta neighborhood have been displaced from villages and settlements in the Middle Juba and Gedo regions of Somalia.
