The President of the Jubaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam has today inspected the Dhobley General Hospital facility and its components.
The President was accompanied by the Minister of Security of Jubaland state, Gen. Yusuf Hassan Osman Dhumal and the District Commissioner of Dhobley Siyad Muhumed Hassan.
Dhobley district hospital director, Mohamed Hassan Yusuf has informed the president that Dhobley hospital is currently aiding lots of people seeking medical services in areas surrounding Dhobley district as well as in border towns along the Kenya- Somalia border.
He noted that that there is a shortage of doctors in the hospital, inadequate medicines supplies, shortage of ambulances and lack of enough general building facility needed by the Dhobley District Hospital.
Jubbaland state President, Ahmed Mohamed Islam thanked the management and medical staff of Dhobley Hospital for their dedicated service to the community, adding that the Jubbaland state Government and the Ministry of Health will bolster efficient health service delivery at the hospital.
The President has called on the international partners in Somalia and the Jubaland diaspora to provide immediate assistance to the hospitals in Dhobley,l which is in dire need of equipment, hit by shortage of doctors, medicine supplies and in need of expansion.
