
The Minister of Health of the Jubaland State Government, Ismail Ahmed Garas, today received a high-level delegation from Save the Children at the Ministry’s conference hall to discuss ongoing health and social service initiatives across Jubaland.
The meeting was attended by several departmental directors and senior officials from the Ministry of Health and Social Care. Discussions focused on the impact of Save the Children’s support to communities in Jubaland, as well as the current challenges and priorities within the health and social services sectors.
During the meeting, Minister Garas expressed his appreciation for the valuable support and strong collaboration that Save the Children has provided to the Ministry over the years. He highlighted the importance of further strengthening the partnership to ensure that quality healthcare services reach communities throughout Jubaland.
The two sides also reviewed opportunities to enhance coordination and cooperation between the Ministry and Save the Children, with particular emphasis on addressing the pressing healthcare needs of vulnerable populations and improving access to essential health services.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen collaboration and expand efforts aimed at improving the well-being of the people of Jubaland through effective, inclusive, and sustainable healthcare interventions.
