Leadership Training Launched in Kismayo to Empower Security Forces

A high-level leadership training program aimed at enhancing the knowledge and command capabilities of officers from various branches of the Jubaland State Forces, the Somali National Army’s 43rd Division and peacekeeping personnel from AUSOM has earnestly begun in Kismayo.

The training is focused on strengthening leadership skills, improving strategic understanding of warfare and security operations as well as equipping officers to serve communities with professionalism and efficiency.

Participants are also receiving instruction on emergency response management, military mission planning, and fostering collaboration between national and international peace-support forces.

The training is being delivered by a team of seasoned Somali and international experts with extensive experience in leadership, operational planning, and military management.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to build a modern, well-led Somali security force rooted in advanced knowledge, technical skills, and regional and international cooperation. It plays a vital role in preparing Jubaland—and Somalia at large—for a future of stable, community-focused security leadership.
