
The Minister of Planning, Investment, and International Cooperation of the Jubaland State Government, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed, who is currently on an official working visit to Finland, has held a productive and forward-looking meeting with the Director General of Finnpartnership, Finland’s trade and investment development organization operating under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
The meeting focused on strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the Jubbaland State Government and Finnpartnership, with particular emphasis on building practical partnerships that support sustainable development.
During the discussions, the Jubbaland delegation comprehensively presented the vast and diverse investment opportunities available across Jubbaland’s regions, highlighting sectors with strong potential for foreign and private-sector engagement.
The Jubbaland Minister, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed underscored Jubbaland’s commitment to creating a welcoming environment for investors through improved planning frameworks, investment facilitation, and international cooperation.
He emphasized that Jubaland offers untapped opportunities in areas such as agriculture, fisheries, trade, infrastructure, and renewable energy.
As part of his official visit to Finland, the Minister is also holding a series of high-level meetings with Finnish government officials and representatives of international organizations. These engagements aim to promote Jubaland as an emerging destination for investment and to foster strategic partnerships that contribute to long-term economic growth and regional development.
