A high‑level meeting focused on strengthening security measures during the upcoming Eid celebrations was held in Kismayo.
The session, chaired by the deputy dayor for Social Affairs of Kismayo district, Najiib Bare Salaad, centered on enhancing overall public safety—particularly around Eid prayer grounds and other areas where large crowds are expected to gather.
Officials also discussed practical solutions to ease traffic congestion in parts of the city. Plans are underway to reopen certain blocked roads to ensure smoother movement for residents throughout the holiday period.
The uthorities issued an important reminder to parents, urging them to exercise extra vigilance over their children while attending public gatherings to prevent them from getting lost in the crowd.
