Senior Security Chief Meets Dhobley Women’s Union to Strengthen Community Safety

The Commander of the Lower Jubba Regional Sector, Colonel Sadiiq Mohamoud Dhogor, held a meeting in Dhobley town with representatives of the Women’s Union, focusing on enhanced community cooperation in security matters.

The discussion centered on maintaining public safety, strengthening collaboration between citizens and security agencies, and supporting the work of the police, who play a central role in securing the district.

The meeting brought together key local leaders, including Lt. Col. Abdikadir Hassan Abdi, the newly appointed Commander of the Dhobley Police Station, Captain Abdullahi Jeemis, the district Intelligence chief and Hassan Abdi Haashi, the Mayor of dhobley district.

During the session, the women’s representatives presented a range of recommendations focused on protecting the community, supporting good governance, and countering extremist ideologies propagated by Al-Shabaab Khawaarij groups.

The engagement highlighted the crucial role women play in promoting stability and underscored the importance of strong community–security partnerships in safeguarding Dhobley and its surrounding areas.
