Jubbaland Vice President Opens Monthly Public Forum in Doolow to Strengthen Community Trust

The Vice President of Jubbaland State, Mohamud Sayid Aden, today inaugurated the monthly open forum jointly organized by the Ministry of Justice & Constitutional Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Security. The event took place in Doolow, Gedo region.

The open forum serves as a community‑consultation platform aimed at promoting cooperation, dialogue, and trust between the public and the justice and security institutions.

Today’s session provided an important opportunity to enhance collaboration and confidence‑building between citizens and government institutions. The primary goal was to strengthen engagement between the community and both the security and justice sectors, allowing residents to share questions, concerns, and critical information—thereby boosting transparency and mutual trust.

The forum was attended by key local stakeholders, including Doolow social affairs representatives, the Director General of the Ministry, Abdullahi Abdiqadir Aden Qaanuuni, the Deputy District Commissioner of Doolow, the Chairperson of the Women’s Association, officials from the Ministry of Internal Security’s Labor and Human Resources Department, as well as representatives from various community groups such as traditional elders, police, youth, women, religious leaders, and civil society organizations.
