Darwish security forces from the Jubbaland administration in Qooqaani today conducted a wide-ranging security operation in the areas surrounding the town. The operation is part of ongoing efforts to ensure stability, maintain security, and proactively counter the movements of anti-peace elements.
The major sweep was led by the Commander of Security for the Qooqaani area, Colonel Mahamuud Adan Hassan and was executed systematically across multiple directions.
The Commander stated that the primary objective of these operations is to strengthen security and guarantee the safety of the community, particularly for citizens travelling on roads leading into and out of Qooqaani. The focus of the campaign is specifically on areas used as hideouts by the Al-Shabaab Khawarij groups known for targeting and terrorizing civilians.
These security operations coincide with the Jubbaland Darwish forces’ continuous campaign to ensure the overall security and stability across the entire Jubbaland State.
