The Jubbaland Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism is stepping up efforts to boost tourism and showcase the region’s natural beauty. Today, the ministry warmly welcomed a group of tourists from the United States and Germany to the coastal city of Kismayo.

This visit comes as part of an ambitious development plan spearheaded by the ministry, aimed at positioning Jubbaland as a premier global tourist destination. Upon arrival at Sayid Mohamed Abdulle Hassan Airport, the visitors were received by the Director General of the Ministry, who expressed gratitude for their role in promoting domestic tourism.

The delegation explored the breathtaking Goobweyn area, where the Jubba River meets the Indian Ocean—a unique natural wonder that highlights Jubaland’s scenic charm. They spent time enjoying the serene waters and the rich biodiversity of the region.

In addition, the tourists toured historical sites that hold significant cultural heritage for Jubaland. They praised the ministry’s commitment to preserving cultural assets, developing tourist attractions, and driving economic growth through tourism.

Reaffirming its vision, the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism emphasized its dedication to making Jubaland the tourism hub of Somalia by enhancing services, ensuring security, and improving hospitality for visitors from both within and outside the country.
