Jubbaland Interior Minister Launches Major Stabilization and Recovery Assessment Conference in Kismayo

The Minister of Interior for Jubbaland State, Mohamed Ibrahim Ogle, officially inaugurated the National Stabilization and Rapid Recovery Assessment Conference today in Kismayo.

The high-level meeting brought together members of the Jubbaland Cabinet, Director Generals, and senior officials from Interior Ministries across Somalia’s federal member states.

During the sessions, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the progress of the National Stabilization Plan, existing challenges, and strategies to accelerate efforts aimed at ensuring security, good governance, and swift delivery of essential public services.

Speaking at the opening, Kismayo District Mayor, Omar Abdullahi Mohamed (Faraweyne), emphasized the importance of the conference in strengthening collaboration between security agencies and local administrations.

Similarly, the Director General of Galmudug’s Interior Ministry highlighted that the Kismayo forum provides a vital opportunity to harmonize stabilization strategies and enhance intergovernmental cooperation.

Jubbaland’s Minister of Internal Security, Yusuf Hussein Osman (Dhuumaal), and Minister of Women and Human Rights, Adar Ismail Abdullahi, both underscored the significance of the meeting in coordinating stabilization efforts at both federal and state levels.

In his keynote address, Minister Ogle reaffirmed Jubbaland’s commitment to contributing to national efforts for lasting peace, stability, and efficient public service delivery.

The conference, one of the largest ever hosted by Jubbaland’s Interior Ministry, is expected to conclude with an official communiqué outlining agreed priorities and action points in the coming days.
