
The Ministry of Livestock, Forestry, and Range of the Jubaland State Government has today inaugurated an advanced training program for selected ministry staff, particularly those working at ports, border points, and veterinary health inspection facilities.
The training, officially opened by the Director General of the Ministry, Abdullahi Ali Farah, will run from November 29 to December 2, 2025. It forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the resilience of pastoralist communities and enhance livestock marketing and export systems in Jubaland.
This specialized seminar is being delivered by international experts from the University of Nairobi, including Dr. Jack Omota and Dr. Joccy Thaiya, bringing global expertise to improve veterinary services and health inspection standards.
