The Standing Committee of the Jubbaland Parliament, chaired by First Deputy Speaker Hiirad Ismail Mohamed, held a pivotal session today to conduct the first reading of the Health Professionals Council Bill, submitted by the Ministry of Health.
During the session, Minister of Health and Social Care, Ismail Ahmed Garas formally requested the committee to approve the bill, which aims to regulate and strengthen the standards of healthcare professionals across Jubbaland.
MP Shire Abdi Mohamed, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Affairs, provided a detailed explanation of the bill’s contents, highlighting its importance in improving healthcare governance and ensuring quality service delivery.
