In a bold and meticulously planned operation, the heroic forces of the Jubbaland State, with critical support from the Somali National Army (SNA) and the elite Danab Commandos, have successfully carried out a large-scale offensive targeting Al-Shabaab strongholds in several villages under Jamaame District in Lower Juba.
The operation, which had been in preparation for some time, focused on dismantling key Al-Shabaab bases in the villages of Muse-Xaaji, Arare, Kobon, Bangeeni, and Maleyleey. These locations were reportedly being used by the extremist group as launchpads for orchestrating attacks against local civilians and security forces.
During the operation, the allied forces executed a series of strategic assaults, resulting in the elimination of 56 Al-Shabaab militants. Additionally, 20 fighters were captured alive during the clashes. All enemy bases in the targeted villages were completely destroyed, effectively crippling the group’s operational capabilities in the area.
Military commanders leading the offensive confirmed that the mission was a resounding success and emphasized their commitment to continuing such operations until the region is fully cleared of terrorist threats. They reiterated their dedication to restoring peace, stability, and normalcy for the residents of Lower Juba.
This latest victory marks a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to eradicate terrorism and ensure lasting security across southern Somalia.
