
A delegation comprising members of the Jubbaland Council of Ministers, senior military officials, and other government representatives arrived today in Janaay Abdalla to inspect the ongoing construction of a vital road that will connect Afmadow district to Buulo Gaduud.
The road, currently being built through a community-driven initiative, is a collaborative effort between the Jubbaland Government and local residents. So far, 30 kilometers have been completed, with construction progressing rapidly.
Officials on site emphasized the strategic importance of the project, highlighting its role in enhancing regional connectivity, facilitating transportation and trade, and improving security and socio-economic development.
The Minister of Public Works and Housing of Jubbaland stated that the road will be paved with asphalt, with surfacing expected to begin soon.
During their visit, the ministers also toured several other development projects underway in Janaay Abdalle, reaffirming the government’s commitment to infrastructure and community advancement.
