The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the Jubbaland State Government has today distributed essential food aid to vulnerable families residing in the Doha Garsey Village, north of Kismayo town.
The humanitarian assistance was aimed at supporting impoverished households, reached 300 families who are in dire need and unable to meet their basic daily needs.
The distribution ceremony was attended by key government officials, including the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Abdirahman Mohamed Dhiriq, the Minister of Health and Social Care, the Minister of Public Works and Housing and the Mayor of Kismayo District.
Officials emphasized that this initiative is part of Jubbaland’s broader efforts to strengthen support for marginalized communities. They affirmed that similar aid operations will continue across the region, in collaboration with humanitarian organizations, to alleviate the suffering of those affected by poverty and hardship.
