The Minister of Planning and Economic Development of the Jubaland State Government, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed, officially opened a high-level consultative forum today in the town of Dhoobley. The forum focuses on shaping Jubaland’s Five-Year Development Plan for the period 2025–2029.

The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including the Director General of the Ministry, the Chairperson of the Jubaland Civil Society Network, Dhoobley District Administration, and representatives from various segments of the local community.

In his opening remarks, Minister Abdirahman emphasized the government’s commitment to inclusive development, highlighting the importance of community participation in shaping policies that reflect the voices, needs, and aspirations of the people.

“The success of our development agenda depends on how well it resonates with the realities on the ground,” the Minister stated. “That’s why we are here—to listen, to engage, and to ensure that the people of Dhoobley have a direct say in the future of their region.”

The primary objective of the forum is to gather input from the Dhoobley community to ensure their perspectives are integrated into the broader Jubaland Development Plan. The initiative underscores the government’s dedication to participatory planning and sustainable development.
