The Government of Jubbaland State has extended its heartfelt condolences to the families, relatives and the entire people of Jubbaland following the tragic loss of military officers and soldiers in a violent assault in Beled Hawo, Gedo region.
The attack, described as deliberate and unprovoked, targeted Jubbaland forces stationed at their command posts. According to official sources, the offensive was orchestrated under the directive of Somalia President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and executed by the militant group led by Abdirashid Indhokorey, who was reportedly flown into Beled Hawo to incite bloodshed.
This brutal act resulted in significant casualties, including the deaths of key security personnel who played vital roles in maintaining regional stability. The Government of Jubbaland views this incident as part of a broader, reckless campaign by Sheikh Mohamud’s administration to destabilize the Gedo region through orchestrated violence and prolonged conflict.
Jubbaland authorities have reiterated their unwavering commitment to defending the integrity of the Federal system and the sovereignty of Jubbaland regional state. They emphasized that any attempt to undermine the government or incite chaos will be met with firm resistance.
