
The President of the Jubaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, today welcomed the African Union Special Envoy to Somalia, Ambassador El Hadji Ibrahima Diene, along with a high-level delegation at the Presidential Palace in Kismayo.
The visiting delegation, which included senior officials from the African Union Support Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), engaged in a comprehensive discussion with the President focusing on the political landscape, security developments, and the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in Jubbaland regional state.
During the meeting, Ambassador Diene commended the Jubbaland administration for its self-reliant initiatives in liberating and stabilizing various regions within the state. He praised the remarkable performance of Jubbaland’s security forces, highlighting their critical role in enhancing peace and security across Somalia.
The visit underscores the continued collaboration between Jubaland and the African Union in promoting stability and development in the region.
