Jubbaland Forces Foil Terror Plot in Strategic Operation Across Lower Jubba region

In a bold and well-coordinated counter-terrorism operation, the heroic forces of the Jubbaland State Government, specifically the Second Battalion of the Second Unit of the Darawiish Division, successfully thwarted planned attacks by extremist militants in the areas of Malkaadhadhaja, Qalowlaha, and surrounding villages in Lower Jubba region of Somalia.

The operation, executed with tactical precision, was launched following credible intelligence reports detailing imminent threats posed by anti-peace elements. Acting swiftly, the Darawiish forces preempted the attacks, neutralizing the threat.

Lieutenant Colonel Asad Ahmed Mohamed, widely known as Asad Garweyne, who led the mission, told Radio Kismayo – the voice of Jubbaland – that the troops had been tracking the movements of the extremist militants for some time.

“Thanks to verified intelligence and the bravery of our soldiers, we were able to dismantle their plot and protect our communities,” He said.

“By the grace of God, our forces acted with courage and determination to stop the enemy, who were planning to destabilize the region. This operation is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure peace and stability in Jubbaland state,” added Commander Garweyne.

The Jubbaland Darawiish forces have a strong track record of disrupting terrorist plots and safeguarding civilians from extremist threats. This latest success underscores their unwavering commitment to regional security and the fight against terrorism.
