The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of the Jubbaland Government has issued an official warning about strong winds expected to hit parts of Jubbaland state in the coming days.
The warning states that these winds could cause significant property damage and loss of life if precautions are not taken. The ministry has indicated that these winds will be accompanied by heavy rains and high waves, which could affect Kismayo, Badhaadhe, and the surrounding coastal areas.
The ministry urges all residents of Jubbaland, especially those living near the coast and fishermen to exercise extra caution and follow the instructions and advice provided by the ministry and local authorities.
The ministry has further advised against going into the sea during this hazardous weather condition and recommends avoiding areas prone to flooding or wind damage.
