The Jubbaland government has initiated a plan to complete the road connecting Janaay Cabdalle and Afmadow in which the government has previously built 13 km road aiming to support roads development and connectivity for the community.
The second phase of the road construction works which targets about 22 km, is being implemented jointly by the Jubbaland government and the local community.
The second phase began earnestly with the cutting down of trees along the road and the removal of the road gravels.
The Second Vice President of Jubbaland state, Abdiqadir Haji Mohamud and a high level government delegation arrived there today to accelerate the second phase of the road development which is seen critically important to connectivity.
Businessmen, the diaspora, and the local community have also been called on to play their part in the roads developments.
Janaay Cabdalle is located 60 km from Kismayo and Afmadow districts in the lower Jubba region of Somalia.
