Somali Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisaad Muse Ali had a telephone conversation with the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan.

The Somalia foreign minister first offered his condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack in Abu Dhabi, which was carried out with the use of drones by the Houthi group in Yemen.

Minister Abdisaid Muse and the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs discussed the improvement of bilateral relations in the interest and the development of the two countries.

The two sides exchanged views on constructive co-operation in matters of mutual interest, and the Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated the State Minister for joining the UN Security Council earlier this month.

However, Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble recently reaffirmed the strained relations between Somalia and the United Arab Emirates, and the government said it would further strengthen ties between the two countries.
