
The President of Jubbaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, has chaired the weekly cabinet meeting today to discuss various issues, including security and the overall political situation in the country.
The Jubbaland Ministry of Environment and Climate Change briefed the cabinet on awareness efforts related to environmental protection, particularly preventing deforestation. The ministry highlighted recent awareness campaigns conducted in various parts of the country.
The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources presented a report on water conservation projects implemented in the districts of Dhobley and Doolow. The ministry has established water reservoirs to store rainwater, addressing drought and water scarcity issues.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management introduced the Humanitarian Aid Protection Bill, which the cabinet is expected to officially begin reading soon.
Finally, the cabinet hss strongly condemned the outcomes of yesterday’s meeting at Villa Somalia, stating that the meeting was not in accordance with the country’s constitution and agreed-upon laws.
