Kismayo district administration in collaboration with Kismayo port authorities and Kismayo women organizations have today started doing renovations and repairing works on the road to Qacle and Shaqalaha area in Kismayo, Jubbaland state.
Traffic on Qacle and Shaqalaha main roads have previously been hectic with pot holes and damaged sections thus inconveniencing motorists and other road users.
Kismayo Deputy District Commissioner Abdirashid Abdi Ibrahim Maduulow has thanked the Kismayo Port Authority for its support in rehabilitating the two roads.
” Traffic on this two roads have been bad with massive pot holes and badly damaged sections which was inconveniencing motorists along the road. We are grateful to Kismayo Port Authority for their help,” Said Abdirashid Abdi Ibrahim Maduulow.
Kismayo District Commissioner Omar Abdullahi Mohamed Faraweyne congratulated the Somali people on the ushering of the new year and vowed to begin development work and projects for the community early this year.
