The first Vice President of Jubbaland state of Somalia, Mohamud Sayid Aden and his delegation who were on a working visit abroad were welcomed today at Sayid Mohamed Abdulle Hassan International Airport in Kismayo, Jubbaland state.
The reception of the Jubbaland first vice president was attended by top government officials and various sections of the community in Kismayo, the capital of Jubbaland state.
Speaking to the media at the airport lounge, Mohamud Sayid Aden thanked all the officials who welcomed him at the airport in Kismayo.
The vice president spoke about the severe drought situation in parts of Jubbaland state and instructed businesses and aid agencies to help provide emergency response to the drought-stricken people.
He added that the Jubbaland state government will also play a pivotal role in the provision of aid to the drought-affected people and their livestock.
