Elwaq Leaders Convene Security Meeting, Pledge Stronger Collaboration for Stability

The District Administration of Elwalaq, in collaboration with security agencies and Abdullahi Hassan Farah, a member of the Jubbaland Parliament, held their regular Thursday meeting today, focusing on the district’s security situation and that of its surrounding areas.

The session centered on reviewing ongoing security conditions, with security officials presenting detailed updates on the status of investigations and follow-ups related to recent incidents reported in Elwaq and its neighboring communities.

The briefing provided an opportunity for stakeholders to assess progress and identify areas requiring further intervention.
Participants unanimously agreed on the urgent need to intensify joint efforts aimed at strengthening safety and maintaining stability across the district. Emphasis was placed on enhancing coordination between local authorities, security agencies, and the wider community to effectively address emerging challenges.

Speaking during the meeting, Abdullahi Hassan Farah underscored that safeguarding public security remains a top priority. He highlighted the importance of unity and collective responsibility among residents, noting that peace and development are closely intertwined.

The lawmaker also announced plans to engage in a series of consultative meetings during his stay in Elwaq.
