The Ministries of Internal Security and the Justice and Constitutional Affairs of Jubbaland jointly convened their monthly open forum today in Doolow district, Gedo region, bringing together a broad cross-section of the community in a bid to strengthen cooperation and trust between citizens and public institutions.
The open forum, designed as a community-centered consultation platform, aims to foster dialogue, transparency, and collaboration between civil society and the justice and security sectors. It serves as a space where residents can actively engage with authorities on key issues affecting their communities.
The event was officially inaugurated by the Chairperson of the Doolow district women’s association, Hibo Hassan Hashi, who underscored the importance of inclusive participation in building sustainable peace and accountability.
Participants included representatives from diverse segments of society, such as traditional elders, police officials, youth groups, women, religious leaders, and members of civil society organizations. Their presence highlighted a shared commitment to collective problem-solving and community development.
