The Minister of Interior Security of the Jubbaland State Government, Major General Yusuf Hussein Osman, on Thursday received a high-level delegation at his office comprising representatives from UN Police, the Sierra Leone Police, and the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS).
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in the security sector and enhancing the quality of policing services across Jubbaland.
Key areas of discussion included capacity-building for police personnel, improving the effectiveness of traffic police operations, and reinforcing collective efforts to prevent and respond to gender-based violence.
Minister Dhumaal commended the continued support and close collaboration of the international partners, emphasizing the critical importance of a professional, skilled, and accountable police force in ensuring public safety and community security.
In their remarks, members of the visiting delegations reaffirmed their strong commitment to supporting Jubbaland’s security institutions and advancing initiatives aimed at improving the overall performance and professionalism of the Jubbaland Police Force.
