A high‑level delegation from the Jubbaland Government, led by the Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Ahmed H. Baraki, and the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Abdiraxmaan Mohamed Dhiriq, accompanied by the district commissioner of Badhaadhe district, Hasan Nuur Abdi, paid a working visit to the coastal settlement of Kudhaa.
During the visit, the officials held a meeting with various units of the Jubbaland security forces stationed on the frontline. Their trip aimed to deliver greetings, boost morale, and share in the spirit of the Eid celebrations with the troops.
The ministers praised the forces for their vital role in maintaining security, highlighting the significant progress made in countering extremist elements and stabilizing the region.
The delegation also met with local leaders and residents of Kudhaa, engaging in discussions on the overall situation in the area. Particular attention was given to the impact of ongoing drought conditions and the urgent need for essential services, especially access to clean water.
In their concluding remarks, the officials reaffirmed the Jubbaland Government’s commitment to strengthening support for the security forces and improving public services, emphasizing that enhancing stability and community well‑being remains a top priority.
