The President of the Jubbaland State Government, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, today received Maj. Gen. Claude K. Tudor Jr., Commander of Special Operations for U.S. AFRICOM, along with a delegation accompanying him during an official visit to Jubbaland regional state.
The discussions focused on strengthening security cooperation, accelerating joint efforts in the fight against Al-Shabaab Khawaarij, and enhancing support for ongoing operations aimed at restoring stability across Jubbaland’s regions.
Maj. Gen. Tudor commended the recent successful joint operations carried out by Jubbaland security forces and the Danab Special Forces in Jubbaland, noting that the coordinated missions had inflicted significant losses on the militants and achieved tangible, strategic gains.
President Ahmed Mohamed Islam was joined in the meeting by the Minister of Internal Security, Yusuf Hussein Osman.
