The State Minister of the Ministry of Internal Security of the Jubbaland Government, Mohamed Abdi Kaliil, today held a critical meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters with officials from the United Nations Police (UNPOL) operating in Jubbaland regional state.
The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen security cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Security and UNPOL.
During the discussions, both sides engaged in an in‑depth dialogue on enhancing police operations, improving the skills and capacity of security forces, and accelerating ongoing efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability across Jubbaland’s regions.
The two parties underscored the importance of continuous collaboration to reinforce security, build institutional capability, and ensure that security agencies are well-positioned to support long-term stability and development in the state.
State Minister Kaliil expressed his gratitude to the UNPOL officers for their consistent support to security institutions, reaffirming the Jubbaland Government’s commitment to advancing productive cooperation that leads to sustainable peace.
Also present at the meeting was Deputy Chairperson of the Security and Social Affairs Committee of the Jubbaland Parliament, MP Deeq Isaaq.
