Jubaland State Intelligence Units, together with the Somali National Army’s 11th Battalion and the elite Danab Commandos, have carried out a coordinated security operation in the Maanbile area along the banks of the Jubba River, on the outskirts of Jamaame district.
According to security officials, the planned operation targeted underground hideouts and defensive positions used by extremist militants. Forces on the ground reported that several hideouts were struck, and clearance operations are currently underway to flush out remaining terrorist elements from the area.
Authorities say the operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle militant networks and secure rural areas that have been used as staging grounds for attacks.
