Jubbaland State forces, working jointly with Danab commandos stationed in the region, continue vigorous operations across the dense forests of Badhaadhe district as they pursue remnants of the Al-Shabaab Khawaarij militants who fled from Kudhaa following a decisive military victory earlier this week.

According to military officials, the renewed offensive has inflicted substantial losses on the militants, with the number of casualties among the Al-Shabaab continuing to rise as operations widen across the forested terrain. Bodies of militants and injured fighters abandoning their positions have been recovered from multiple locations in the Kudhaa surroundings.

Official figures released by field commanders indicate that up to 250 Al-Shabaab Khawaarij fighters have been killed, while security forces have captured 13 militants, most of whom were found injured and attempting to escape through the wooded areas of Kudhaa.

Jubbaland President, Ahmed Mohamed Islam commended the bravery and discipline of the state’s security forces, praising their steadfastness, vigilance, and unwavering commitment to protecting the nation and preventing further threats from hostile elements.
